The title of this issue “Good Guys Wear Red” is a reference to the classic tough-guy film starring Chuck Norris, “Good Guys Wear Black” from a few years earlier.
You might think the cover art is a homage to another tough guy film, Clint Eastwood’s “Sudden Impact” where he delivered the classic line “Go ahead, make my day.”, but this comic actually came out a year prior to the film. Makes one wonder if that scene was inspired by this cover at all.
